Well, here I am in my new foster home. I am but a 16 week old cutie pie and very well adjusted considering I can't see or hear. My new name is Trooper 'cause I am getting through life just like a normal pup and hanging in there. Some really nice people took excellent care of me at the animal hospital where I was taken as a wee pup . They soon realized I can't hear or see. No matter to me, 'cause I like to play with my toys, have learned to go potty outside and use my nose to help me get around. I love to eat, sleep, play and get hugs, but soon I'll be too big for pick-up hugs. My mom is a Dalmatian, but I think dad is a Great Dane. Doc says Danes have eye problems that cause them to be blind like me. Right now, I am little, but I have big feet that I need to grow into. Christopher let me ride with him yesterday to get to Dal Rescue. We had a great time and he said I was no trouble at all! Guess that means I am a good boy! Thanks a lot to Christopher and all those nice people at the doc's office. Today I visited the thrift store that helps support Dal Rescue. I was an instant hit!!! Who could resist me? I met lots of nice people who gave me love and kisses. Maybe I need to back there more often! My foster home is only for a short time and I need a forever family real soon. If you can help me, I'll be the best boy ever! I will be loyal and faithful. Just give me lots and lots of toys though! Gotta run for now, I think it's nap time. Love, Trooper.
