"SPECIAL RECOGNITION" FOR DAL RESCUE

At the 59th annual Jr. Orange Bowl Awards Banquet, Pati was presented the award the Dal Rescue team won at the parade in December. This was Dal Rescue's 2nd award......they won "Best Animation" in 2001. This award was proudly accepted on behalf of those board members, volunteers, adopted families and those lovers of the breed that participated. A good time was had by all and we look forward to our next parade. Two paws up to Frank Sullivan and company who provided the shiney red firetruck and float that the Dals strutted alonside. Lucky, Frank's best friend had a bird's eye view sitting so stately atop the truck. At our stop by the grandstand and judges table, the following commentary was read........

Fixing broken bones and mending shattered hearts of homeless Dalmatians is serious business. And as Dalmatian Rescue ends another lifesaving year of record rescues, they take a much needed break to showcase their high stepping spirited Dalmatians.

Vital to our South Florida communities, nationwide and even now as far reaching as to our friends in Puerto Rico, the rescue efforts of this wonderful cause do not go unnoticed.

Without Dalmatian Rescue, these once discarded creatures had no chance for life much less could they ever imagine prancing so proudly in a beautiful holiday parade.

So tonight, we thank our South Florida communities for their continued financial support. As we celebrate this magnificent breed, we give thanks to all those loving families who adore their adopted spotted dogs and praise those individuals who give so tirelessly of themselves to keep Dalmatian Rescue running.

Two paws up to our nation’s firefighters for their heroic efforts and for being the Dalmatian’s best friend!
