It was a hot August day and Pati, my rescue Mommy, told me I had to have a bath as company was coming to see me.  They saw my picture on the website, thought I was a pretty girl, and just the right age.

  A while after my bath, the telephone rang and my company was just around the corner.  Pati got my leash and we went to the gate and there stood a lady and man smiling at me.  I greeted them with kisses and the man took my leash and we went for a short walk.  They seemed nice and seem to like me. 

 I did not know they were going to take me home with them.  But it turns out, with mom Pati's and daddy Mark's approval, they adopted me.  After the paperwork was done, I got in the car with my new mommy and daddy.  They had owned 3 Dals over several years and knew what great pets we made.  We had a long ride home.  It was almost 200 miles and took about 4 hours after a couple stops.  We stopped for a potty break, but I did  not have to go.  I had never been at that stop before I don't  think, so I  had lots of sniffing to do.  Also greeted some people I met there that were very friendly.  At one point on the ride, I laid down in the backseat and went to sleep.  They were impressed I was such a good passenger.  I heard them say that was good as they would  be taking me on trips in their camper.   

When we got to my new home I got out, with my leash on, and we walked around the borders of the yard.  I do not think I had ever seen such a big yard.  I heard them say it was 2 and 1/2 acres.  Well, I just love running around in it.  I know my borders and  have my favorite sections I like.  There are orange trees and I play with the oranges that fall on the ground.  I have my own small black and white ball too that mommy and daddy throw and I fetch it.  Daddy has old fire trucks and I rode in one in the Christmas Parade and loved seeing all those people who wanted to know my name!   

I have been camping about 3 times and I have been a good girl.  I have found out my bed is just as comfortable as the furniture mommy and daddy sit on.  This seems to make mommy very happy.
