Papa and Bennie (formerly Archie and Bandero) Hello Pati. Here are some pictures of Bandero who we now call Bennie. He is doing very well and seems very happy. He wags his tall all the time and he even smiles. He is soo sweet and seems to take a liking to me and Robert. Archie who is now called Papa is doing well also. He smiles a lot and has really attached himself to Annie. For Thanksgiving we had Thursday and Friday off so that whole weekend they went to the dog park and they just loved it. Bennie loves to ride in the car. He is also starting to play with some of Dippie's toys. It's sooo cute. They walk great on leashes. A lot better then we expected at least. Also Bennie has been doing really good with not running out the front door when its opened. We are also teaching him how to sit and lay down. He is really a great boy and I am glad I got to rescue him. Sincerely, Robert, Jennifer and Annie Quite by surprise, some really nice folks visited Archie and Bandero one Saturday afternoon. Robert, Jennifer and Annie had been researching and looking for a couple Dals to add to their family. Not knowing of our organization, they searched out Colorado Dal Rescue and we are grateful that Beth turned them on to us!
Robert and Jennifer wanted a playmate for Dippie, their Dal mix who is the love of their lives. Dippie knows how to sit, stay, lay down, roll over, give paws, beg and speak. Robert and Jennifer liked Bandero when they saw him on our Petfinder site, as they thought he and Dippie looked a lot alike.
Robert and Jennifer's very close friend and nextdoor neighbor Annie fell in love with Archie (Papa Bear) and his story. Knowing the boys must be adopted together and living so close, doing things together, off the three came to pay us a visit. And the rest is history. I am so thrilled for the boys as they have come such a long way and are very happy now. I can see their personalities blossoming, their boundaries expanding and the obvious love they are recieving. This is one of the most heartwarming experiences in a while for me as I still feel Rosie's loss. Knowing the boys will move on and have a forever home and wonderful life eases the pain. I wish them all the best with their new lives............endings like this make it all worthwhile! Hugs and Love to Papa and Bennie, Pati
